Rambles about critters

So its heading into the beginning of Spring and that means one thing in my house. Breeding Season.

For all of those new to my flist, something you may not know about me is that I am a wildlife carer. I volunteer my time to look after the various native critters from the Sydney area, injured or orphaned. And around this time of year its usually orphaned. It means my house is rather full, cages all around the place; laundry, outside, toolshed, dark room...

As of today I now have an adult rainbow lorrikeet (see example HERE!) A baby rainbow lorrikeet (which is basically the same as the adult exept with big black eyes, patchy colour and copious amounts of grey fluff, a group of baby ringtails about 100g in weight, one little ringtail who is about 150g, and two little baby ringtails found inside their dead mums pouch.

For reference these are ringtails, HERE! The babies shown here are about the age of the 150g one. How cute are they!

Tomorrow I am getting another lorrikeet, as his current carer cant look after him any more. He is only a few weeks old, bald as an egg apparently. This could be a bit of a challenge...

Below is a list of names for my reference :D

Lorrikeets - Adult: Stanley, Baby: Kiptyn

Ringtails - Big: George, Middle: Skye, Amanda and James. Littles: Two as yet unnamed. (Any Suggestions!!??)

CHeers all!
