Jim Kirk is one of Samantha's descendants. Reaper's always kept an eye on the family, so he decides to enlist as Leonard McCoy when Jim goes to StarFleet. Course, he wasn't planning on falling in love with is many-times great grandnephew. Cue angst. But with a happy ending. After all, they're not *that* closely related. Bonus if Jim's heard family stories of great-uncle John but didn't believe in it until he finds out about Reaper!Bones.
