miss_m_cricket | Supanova 2010 !!

So as most of you know Supanova was on this last weekend in Melbourne. It was a hysterically fun weekend with insanely awsome costumes, great new and old friends, fascinating shopping opportunities and hilarious Guest Appearances.

Once upon a time there was a Maddy...

She met an

acerbicmuffin...

Took a photo of a crowd, shockingly devoid of costumes...its a skill people...

She met a pretty Vulcan science officer...

And then some TOS officers too...

She encountered

themadramblings trying to help inter fandom relations by fixing R2...or...we think she was fixing it...

The beautiful

rotae shared her incredible talents wit both us and Karl...and Karl approved!

We spied on worship at the altar of Karl...

...and swooned at bottle porn.

rotae shared her purchase of a McCoy doll...resulting in debate about its facial features in relation to Karls...

Somehow this also led to phrases like "The Shat will be Shattered when Nimoy dies", cries of "Niiiimmooooy..." in the tradition of "Khaaaaaan", and the loud discussion of Kirk/Spock in hearing distance of Karl.

(I formally declare that I was the one going SHHHHH during this bit xD)

A Spock girl joined

themadramblings and

sparkyqueen for a lovely TOS photo...aren't they all pretty!

Grass was then sat on as the sun went down...

...and the Maddy ended up being transported outside of an Asian Mix Mart...

The next day giggling occured over the awsomeness of the Chick-trooper costume...complete with boobs and heeled boots...

And then we headed to...the second Karl Urban Seminar...

Please note: I didn't get any photos at the first one... and apologies for slight blur...we werent aloud to use flash...and he moves a lot...

..whew...

Karl is awesome at these things, he is funny, cracks dirty jokes, cracks jokes about Australians...took every question (semi)seriously...and generally treated it like it was a conversation between mates...

He also provided awseome insight into the backstage life at Star Trek...and also a snippit about Doom...

Karl signing the beautiful girls dresses...he was a love about it too...and the girls were in giggling fits of delight about it for a long while after...

Also to be enjoyed was the Cosplay...featuring various Anime characters...Ash Ketchum from Pokemon and his Pikachu...and Edward Cullen. Thats the guy in the middle. It doesn't show up on the pic so well...but he was covered from top to toe in...SPARKLES!!!

As for the Maddy interactions with Karl...they had a nice chat about the con when he signed the picture and then when she went to have a photo with him...he called her beautiful....
